SPLASH DISCOUNT CARDS 2008
Splash Discount Cards mean £10 worth of free leisure activities for you – so if you have them use them!
As in previous years Splash has an allocation of Discount Cards for distribution to young people aged 9 – 16 years who may need support to attend positive mainstream activities at leisure centres and cinemas across the county.
Discount Cards are to support young people who are:
Aged between 9 and 16 years of age
Who are financially disadvantaged
Who may need directing/signposting into more positive use of their time
Who are identified as being vulnerable and where a positive activity would offer support.
Are for use in the Summer School Holiday period only
How/where can Splash Discount Cards be used?
Cards are issued in £10 credit card size amounts sectioned into £1 units.
They can be used as full or part payment for an activity ie. they can be topped up with cash if the activity costs more than the Discount Card units available.
They can be used at various leisure centres, cinemas, and youth centres across Wiltshire and Swindon – a full list of these venues will be issued with the Discount Cards.
Splash Discount Cards can not be used for drinks, food and sweets.
Who can issue Splash Discount Cards?
Discount Cards are issued through, or applications endorsed by, Splash partner agencies eg:
Schools
Social services
Youth offending service
Connexions
Single parent families
And numerous voluntary youth support groups.
These organisations are able to make an assessment of need, and therefore recommend that a young person receives a Splash Discount Card.
What to do Next
If you are an organisation that supports young people and would like to know more about how you can access Discount Cards then please contact Splash.
If you are an organisation who already works with Splash to distribute Discount Cards, then please contact the Splash office for an application form to be sent.
If you are a young person, or a parent/guardian, and consider the above criteria fit your circumstances then please contact the office for a form to be sent, then obtain the support of one of the above agencies to endorse your application. Then forward to Splash. Alternatively for further details contact Splash.

Please be aware that Splash Discount Cards are limited, and an application does not guarantee that a card will be issued.
